Today I'm re-visiting the excellent indie RPG Microscope by Ben Robbins of Lame Mage Productions.
It's one of those toolkit games that I return to over and over again. It's a blast for pick up and play games, or for when you need to fill a table quickly. It's great for new and experienced players, and (my favorite way to use it) an exquisite system for fleshing out stories and worlds within RPGs you're already playing.
Need to quickly do some world building but want to collaborate as a group? This is your game.
Microscope Explorer takes the already excellent formula from Microscope and gives you a bunch of new options to run with.
They're both worth the time and investment to learn and play. If they're not a part of your library yet, you can pick them up directly off of Ben's website (above) or from DriveThruRpg.
We're here playing games, as often as possible. You'll find live-play RPG sessions, game reviews, and a plethora of hints and tips for budding GMs.
